See you there!
Claire & Adil travelled over from their home in Morocco to marry in Claire’s hometown, Fulham, a week before Christmas. The wedding was organised in only 3 months, a remarkable task especially given they were doing it from another continent! The couple married in Hammersmith & Fulham Town Hall and had a reception in Pissarro, a restaurant in a remote location by Chiswick pier which proved perfect for their intimate affair. Unfortunately I was unable to photograph their ceremony, due to the venue’s restrictions, although the rest of the day more than made up for it. The reception venue was beautifully decorated and made use of nice personal touches. The tables in the seating plan were named after places around the world that meant something to the couple, such as where they met. Their guests were kept entertained throughout the night, there was even a raffle organised for after the meal which turned out to be a lot of fun. Everyone was so excited Santa had come early, running up and down to collect their “christmas present” prize. Claire & Adil are a really cool couple and it was great to be chosen to photograph their big day. Thank guys, all the best in your lives together.

I just want to say a big thank you to all the amazing couples & individuals I have got to meet this year and to everyone who has supported me, you know who you are. 2012 has been incredible, I can’t believe how lucky I am. I’ve learnt so much and found a job I truly adore. I know 2013 is going to be even more amazing, I really can’t wait. Looking forward to more adventures! Here are some of my fave moments from 2012:
I was honoured to be asked to photograph the annual STAR (Student Action for Refugees) conference at the Freedom from Torture centre last month. I previously photographed their Committee Training in June and it was great to work with them again.
STAR is the national network of student groups working to improve the lives of refugees in the UK by: promoting positive images of refugees, volunteering for local refugee projects & campaigning for refugees. STAR student groups are independently constituted student union societies, based at universities all over the UK.
It was a highly informative day and the students heard from a variety of guest speakers. The conference discussed the work of STAR, their fight against immigration detention, torture survivors in the UK & ended with the students creating a message as part of Parliament Week, urging MP’s to take action.
